FAQs
Does something have to be “wrong” for me to reach out?
Not at all! It’s a common misconception that you have to be in crisis to seek help. Often, people come to counselling to explore their feelings, gain clarity, or work through life’s challenges—big or small. Seeking support can be an empowering step.
What if this is not the right fit for me?
If this approach or style isn’t quite the right fit for you, I completely understand. It is also possible that your needs are out of my scope. Please feel free to send me an email. I’m happy to discuss your needs and help you find someone better suited to your specific requirements.
I don’t have medical aid - how do I pay for sessions?
If you don’t have medical aid, you can still book and pay for sessions directly. Contact Liticia, the practice manager, and she will assist you with payment options and provide any further details.
How do I make an appointment?
You can easily navigate to the “Contact Us” section where you will find the cellphone number of the practice, allowing you to make a booking directly. Alternatively, you can send an email.
I read up about Imago, and Relationship Therapy came up. What if my partner is hesitant to go for therapy?
Imago therapy isn't about “therapy” in the traditional sense; it’s more of a way of life and communication—a set of skills that can enrich any relationship. You can gently approach it as an opportunity for both of you to learn and grow, not as something “wrong” that needs fixing. I recommend booking an initial session with me and we go through this together.
What’s the difference between counselling and Imago?
Counselling is a broader form of emotional and mental health support that helps individuals or couples explore life challenges, build self-awareness, and develop coping strategies. Imago therapy is a specific relationship-focused approach, where I help couples, families and groups enhance communication, understand deeper emotional patterns, and foster a deeper connection.
